About this work
A Japanese woodblock print shows a round-faced woman in a red floral kimono throwing beans from a wooden box toward two tumbling, demonic figures in military-style dress, one with a rifle. A column of handwritten Japanese text and a title cartouche appear on the sheet, and a handwritten English note is inscribed at the top.
