About this work

This painting shows an ornate arched doorway framed by red and blue patterned borders, with a veiled woman in a golden cloak and purple dress stepping through the threshold. Beyond the door, a robed figure stands before a pale mountain and a luminous sky tinged with yellow and blue, while stylized haloed figures and a painted gable with small arched niches decorate the interior.
