A lithograph in sepia tones shows the waterfront of Istanbul from the Golden Horn, with the domed Yeni Cami mosque and its tall minarets at the centre. Sailing vessels and small rowing boats crowd the choppy water in the foreground, and the dome of Hagia Sophia appears at the left. The print is attributed to John Frederick Lewis and dated 1838.
