About this work
An etched military camp scene shows a line of uniformed soldiers waiting at a field kitchen where a cook ladles from kettles hung over a fire. Tents, chimneys, and covered wagons fill the hillside behind them, and a flag rises above the camp. The print is titled Fall in for soup, was made by Edwin Forbes, and dates to 1876.
