About this work

An etching titled Arabe Assis, numbered 7 in the upper right corner, shows a figure seated on bare ground against a wall, the head and body wrapped in loose draped cloth. Dense cross-hatching in the background contrasts with the pale, lightly worked figure and the folds of fabric.
