A watercolor and pencil study shows horse chestnut and maple buds in various stages of unfolding, with sprays of small yellow maple flowers at upper left. Handwritten notes on the sheet identify the subjects, the location of Central Park, and the date April 26, 1880. The work is attributed to Samuel Colman and dated 1880.
