About this work
A woodcut of a seated woman bathing beside a fountain in a walled town, with an elderly woman in a hooded cloak standing at left. The scene is set within an elaborate Renaissance-style ornamental border with grotesque figures and scrollwork, and the monogram HB appears in the lower right.
