About this work
Carlos Schwabe's drawing shows a woman in a flowing blue gown holding a child against her shoulder, framed by a radiating halo and rays of light. Stylized golden clouds fill the foreground while a pale turquoise sky and a distant shoreline extend behind them. A dark decorative border with geometric and star motifs surrounds the composition, as in the record for this cover design.
