About this work
An engraved landscape shows the ruined circular temple of the Sibyl at Tivoli rising above a shoreline, with arched substructures and a tall tree framing the right edge. Fishermen in small boats and figures gathered on the rocky bank work along the water, while birds fly across the cloudy sky. The print reproduces a painting by Jan Brueghel the Elder.
