About this work
This etching shows a woman in a dark dress and tall hat standing in the foreground, with two shadowy figures, one wearing a hat, in a lit doorway or arch behind her. Dense cross-hatching creates the dark tonal areas. The print is titled "That Old Fashioned Mother of Mine" and is attributed to Walter Sickert, published by Ernest Brown & Phillips at the Leicester Galleries in 1929.
