About this work

An engraved vignette shows two winged sphinxes and two putti seated atop a classical entablature, with a lyre, a music sheet, and trumpets among the decorative elements. A swag of grapevines and hanging medallions with classical coin-like designs descends from the top, with a small figure in the lower center. The print is signed J. B. Huet and dated 1779 on the lower part of the sheet.
