This engraving shows a nude, bearded figure with a radiating halo, his wrists bound with rope and resting on a tall urn-shaped vase atop a stone pedestal. A partial cloth wraps his hips, and strong directional light falls across his body against a dark background. The title Man of Sorrows is inscribed on the lower margin, and the print is attributed to Grégoire Huret.
