About this work
This black and white engraving shows the front of a brick building with tall sash windows above a low stone ground floor. A pointed gothic arch frames a shadowed doorway on the left, and a broader arched opening on the right leads into a covered passage with a small structure visible inside. The paving is rendered with dense cross-hatching.
