About this work
This engraved architectural view shows a row of timber-framed buildings with steep gabled roofs and projecting upper storeys, rendered in dense hatching and fine linework. Decorative carved bargeboards and exposed beams are visible on the gables, and the lower storey opens onto a paved street.
