About this work
A pen and ink drawing on tan paper shows a sword with a round pommel, a long grip and an ornate crossguard with engraved motifs, rendered in brown wash. Faint pencil studies of a pommel and a hilt appear at the left, beside a dark ink wash, and a dedication with a date is inscribed in the lower right.
