About this work

This engraved print shows a multi-arched stone bridge crossing a river, with a town of houses and a church tower rising behind it against wooded hills. Two figures fish on the rocky riverbank in the foreground, and a small boat drifts on the water. The work is engraved by J. Walker after an original drawing by Edward Dayes and was published in 1796.
