About this work

A loosely drawn interior scene in pale watercolor and ink shows two women embracing on a bed, one with dark hair leaning against the other's shoulder. The sketchy linework and washes of brown, green and blue leave much of the sheet open, with rumpled bedding and a chair edge suggested at the right.
