About this work

A black-and-white line drawing shows a vertical decorative panel filled with scrolling baroque ornament, including curling volutes, leaf-like forms and a small winged female head at the upper left. The lower section narrows into a pedestal-like base with further scrollwork. The caption at the bottom reads that it depicts a side part of baroque backrests in the nave of the Church of the Holy Cross. Page01b, attributed to Stanisław Wyspiański, dated 1897.
