An interior scene shows four men gathered around a table draped in a red and blue patterned cloth, covered with gilded vessels, a chalice, jewelry and metalwork. An elderly bearded man in a dark cloak raises a golden cup while another man in a ruffed white collar looks on, with a figure in red standing behind and a seated man in dark dress at right. The painting is titled The merchant's treasures, by Max Gaisser, dated 1889.
