About this work
A hand-colored print titled Die Kinds-tauffe im Canton Bern shows a christening gathering outside a timber house, with figures in regional dress, including a bride-like woman in a white lace shawl and a man in a yellow coat holding a hat. A dog, a barrel, a basket and climbing ivy complete the rural courtyard scene. The work is attributed to Franz Niklaus König and is held in the Gugelmann collection.
