About this work
This engraved view shows Schloss Hegi near Winterthur, with a tall stone tower, a half-timbered residential wing, and a pair of oxen and a horse pulling a cart along a dirt road. A dog walks in the foreground beside a garden fence and shrubs. Below the image, a block of German text describes the history of the castle, and the print is attributed to Johan Jakob Biedermann and dated 1815.
