A full-length costume design shows a stout man with a large mustache, a topknot and a blue ribbon at the collar, wearing an embroidered white shirt, wide white trousers, an orange sash with a pipe, and dark boots. The title identifies the figure as Kum from The Fair at Sorochyntsi, the Mussorgsky opera, drawn by Boris Kustodiev in 1919 and held in a private collection.
