About this work

The painting shows a nude woman stepping into a shallow pool in a garden setting, with a seated attendant in a yellow blouse and blue skirt handing her a white cloth beside a basin. A small spotted dog sits at the water's edge, while a stone balustrade, a large urn with a plant, and classical architecture frame the scene under a soft sky.
