About this work

A woman supports a toddler seated on a painted rocking horse while an older boy in a waistcoat and trousers grips the horse's bridle inside a wooden barn-like space. Through the open doorway a village, a covered wooden structure, and distant hills under a cloudy sky are visible. The painting is attributed to Matthias Ranftl and is catalogued as a print in Wikimedia Commons.
