About this work

Two nude youths stand on a sandy shore beneath a loose, cool-toned sky, one holding a bright orange cloth while the other bends toward a wet, russet-coated dog. The loose, energetic brushwork and warm flesh tones contrast with the blue-grey background. This study by Henry Scott Tuke is dated 1912 and is held by Wikimedia Commons.
