About this work

A Japanese woodblock-style print shows a large cherry tree in full bloom at Koganei, with its white blossoms filling the upper branches. Beneath the tree, families sit on red mats and a small table holds a tea set, while other visitors stroll across the grassy field toward the distant rows of blossoming trees.
