A figure carrying a bundle on his back walks past, while a stone monument rises in the distance. The print is captioned as the Rue de la Vieille-Lanterne and the grille where the body of Gérard de Nerval was found in 1855, demolished the same year. Theodor Josef Hubert Hoffbauer is credited as the artist.
