About this work

An engraved street view shows the weathered Gothic facade and side windows of the church of Saint-Jean de Latran beside a cobbled street. On the right stands a white classical building with a pedestrian entrance, and two figures walk near the church while another stands at the far right. The print is captioned as the last remains of the church and a view of the Collège de France, dated 1854, and is attributed to Theodor Josef Hubert Hoffbauer.
