About this work
This pencil study on a toned sheet shows a muscular figure straining to lift a large globe on his shoulders, with a pointing figure and a seated woman nearby. Several cherubs and sketched heads and limbs fill the clouds around the main group, which is attributed to Ciro Ferri.
