About this work
A bearded armored figure in chainmail and a conical hat stands on a grassy mound, holding a staff and carrying a red shield on his back. Beside him is a heraldic coat of arms with a crowned helmet, a tree crest, and a blue and red shield bearing yellow leaves and lions. The hand-colored woodcut-style print includes a caption above the figure and the monogram HB at the lower edge.
