About this work
A hand-colored woodcut-style illustration from the Truchsessenchronik shows an armored knight holding a spiked mace over his shoulder, with a tree-topped helmet and a blue and red heraldic shield resting beside him on a grassy mound. The label above the figure reads "Herr Berchtold Trüchsess" in decorative black lettering.
