This painting shows a view along the Seine with the Pont-Neuf's multi-arched stone bridge crossing the water toward the Île de la Cité. Rowing boats with passengers and a small sailing boat move across the green river, while a long mansard-roofed building and rows of tall townhouses line the banks under a sky of large cumulus clouds.
