A watercolor shows a white-bearded monk in a black habit standing at a Gothic window beside a table with an open book and a cup. Through the tracery, mounted soldiers and a harbor with sailing ships are visible, and a crucifix hangs on the right wall. The work is catalogued as Kreuzritter und Mönch by Gustav Reinhold, dated 1835.
