A helmeted armored warrior with a drawn sword stands beside a nude woman whose wrists are bound by chains, while a bare-chested man is pinned beneath the warrior's blade. The scene is set beneath an ornate Gothic-style arch beside a gilded urn, with an open book on the floor. This is William Etty's 1833 work Britomart Redeems Faire Amoret.
