About this work
A pencil sketch shows a large domed cathedral with a colonnaded drum and a lantern topped by a small finial, flanked on the left by two tall towers with spires. Lower buildings with pitched roofs and a shaded foreground of loose hatching complete the composition. The work is attributed to George Romney under the title "Possibly Saint Paul's, London."
