About this work
This black and white woodcut shows a seated, partially nude woman with long flowing hair and raised arm, accompanied by a bird in flight carrying a branch. Stylized plant forms and a sweeping wing-like shape fill the dark background. The work is a 1923 print by Władysław Skoczylas, catalogued as an invitation to the Warsaw exhibition of the Association of Polish Artists Rytm.
