A pencil drawing shows a domed church with arched windows and a small entrance, set on open ground with a row of low town buildings and a range of mountains behind it. Two detail studies of arched window and niche architecture appear at the upper right and upper center, and an inscription at lower left reads 'Church in Soudjak Kaleh' with the date 5 October 1855. The work is attributed to William Simpson.
