About this work
A sunlit harbour scene shows a curving stone quay lined with small rowing boats and a red-hulled vessel, while several figures fish or stand along the wall. Pale cottages with chimneys rise behind the water, and a sign reading The Ship Inn hangs at the left edge. The painting is attributed to Harold Harvey and dated 1922.
