About this work
A group of figures hurries across a hillside path as a sudden storm bends the slender trees and drives the rain. The farmers shield themselves with straw rain capes, wide hats, and an umbrella, while dark clouds fill the sky. The work is a painting on Dutch paper, recorded as Katsushika Hokusai's composition from 1824.
