About this work
This black and white print shows the west facade of a Gothic cathedral seen from a narrow street, with a pointed portal, tracery, and sculpted figures rising toward the towers. Rubble and scattered debris fill the foreground, while timber-framed houses frame the view on either side. The work is catalogued as Jules De Bruycker's De cathedraal van Antwerpen, dated 1929.
