An engraved reproduction shows an elderly man reclining bare-chested on a bed while attendants and onlookers gather around him in an arched interior. A younger man holds the old man's arm while others read from open books and a figure sits at a table, with a distant landscape and tower visible through the arch. The inscription beneath gives the title in Italian and French, with a note that the original painting by Luca Giordano hung in the Royal Gallery of Dresden, and an engraver credit.
