This drawing, with watercolor washes, shows the rear of old Parisian buildings with steep roofs, dormer windows and chimneys above a street lined with shopfronts, including a wine merchant and a dyer. The handwritten inscription identifies the view as the last remnants of the Butte des Moulins at the corner of rue d'Argenteuil, near rue Saint-Roch.
