About this work
A lithographic sheet music cover titled Jean-Pierre shows a singer in a loose light blouse and dark trousers, one arm raised and mouth open in song, holding a cane. Bold colored lettering and layered yellow, green and blue washes frame the figure, and the text credits lyrics by J. Richepin, music by Marcel Legay, and performance by Mévisto at l'Horloge. The print was made by Henri-Gabriel Ibels and published in Paris by L. Bathlot-Joubert.
