About this work
This watercolor and pencil drawing shows the richly carved arched entrance of the Hôtel de Vic, with a mascaron keystone, ornamental scrolled brackets and an ornate wooden door. Two figures in period dress stand on the pavement in front, and an inscription notes the building was demolished in 1886 and dates from 1523.
