About this work
An engraved allegorical composition shows a helmeted, classically draped female figure seated before a stone pedestal, holding a spear and a laurel branch. An oval medallion beside her contains a portrait of a young boy with long hair and lace collar, and smaller medallions below show a Medusa head and a cupid scene. The work is by Grégoire Huret, dated 1621.
