About this work

A lithograph shows three richly dressed figures standing in a Gothic-style interior, with a crowned bearded man in an ermine-trimmed robe on the right, a younger figure in a dark cloak at center, and a crowned figure in a long gown on the left. Courtiers and attendants stand in the background beside tall windows and carved wooden paneling. The title and the artist's signature with the date 1834 appear in the lower margin, and the work is attributed to Eugène Delacroix.
