This engraved print shows a cloaked man in classical dress gesturing toward a colonnaded building with a pediment and sculpted figures on its roof, while a formal garden with scrolled parterres and a fountain extends behind him. A row of trees, a distant mountain range, and a winding river fill the background, and a stone sphere rests on a stair in the foreground. The plate is by François Chauveau, dated 1657, and carries the title Vindicius épie les conjurés chez un parent de Brutus (Clélie 6, 1656).
