About this work

A lithograph shows a woman with loose hair lying back in a shallow river, one arm raised among overhanging foliage while her garments spread and float on the water. Dense trees line the far bank, and the inscription "E.D. 1843" appears at lower left. The work is attributed to Eugène Delacroix.
