About this work
A pencil drawing shows a small, abandoned stone tomb with a cross and a pediment, half hidden among tall conifers in the Bois de Boulogne. Handwritten notes below describe the disused cemetery, which dates to 1852, and the sketch is attributed to Jules-Adolphe Chauvet.
