A blue-tinted engraved print titled Les Bains de Mer, showing a dense crowd of bathers in the surf on either side of a central signpost marked Côté des Hommes and Côté des Dames. Bathing machines, a rowing boat, a steamboat and gulls fill the scene, with men in shorts and women in long dresses and bonnets on the sand.
